Lollicakes!!
So on a trip to Target with the parentals, i came across the book section. I saw this cute book called “Cake Pops” that you can check out on www.bakerella.com. This started a whole new outlook on cakes for me. I recently became interested in making cakes from watching on those cake shows on cable… cake boss, etc and thought how fun it would be to create extravegant cakes like that. A friend of my moms makes cakes on the side and she does awesome work. So i figured i’d give it a shot. I made my first attempt of making a cake using fondant and it came out pretty good. Real simple but its the first time so i wanted to ease into the harder stuff gradually. Here is what my first cake looked like:

It was a white cake with frosting and the fondant on top. I need to work more on getting the frosting smooth so the fondant looks smoother. Then i saw this fabulous book =) this is an awesome book with very detailed instructions on how to make these lil treats. Here is what the book looks like
. So i decided to make my first attempt on this the day after i got the book (which was a sunday). I went to Michaels and the market to pick up the needed ingredience to make the snowmen pops. I started making the cake at about 4ish… i didnt know this was going to take me hours to finish lol. I wouldnt consider myself what you’d call a patient person… so trust me when i say that i mustve really enjoyed doing this because i didnt finish decorating all 36 pops that i made till 12:30am!!!!! I was beat! My feet were hurting for standing for almost 8 hours. I’m sure my next batch wont take as long because i know what to do now and how to have my work area prepared. So here is what my first attempt looks like =)

=) and i took some to work for everyone and they all liked it!!! I have 2 orders for some for the holidays =) and my fam liked them too!! Next i’m going to attempt the owl pops in red velvet!! yummmerz

That Little Voice
Who is that little bugger in your head? You know who I’m talking about. The little guy who tells you you’re not talented. The bastard who spits in your face and reminds you that you’ll never make anything of yourself. Some other person has done what you want to do and they did it better. Surely if you put yourself out there people will think you suck. Whoever or whatever that voice is politely tell them to go away. You’ve no time for them anymore. You’re too busy making big things happen. Too much time is needed to feel happy and energetic. Life has gotten far too jam-packed with blessings. You just can’t find the time to listen to his ranting and raving now or probably ever again. Once he gets the message go out there and be you. After all, you deserve it.
